Shibei Hi-tech Park American Innovation Center Officially Is Unveiled Officially in Silicon Valley

On the morning of May 6, 2017 (Silicon Valley Time), Shanghai Shibei High-Tech Park American Science and Technology Innovation Forum was held at Stanford University, the U.S.

The forum was co-sponsored by Shanghai Municipal Commission of Economy and Informatization, Shanghai Jing'an District People's Government and Shibei Hi-Tech Park (Shanghai Big Data Industry Base) and co-undertaken by Shanghai Big Data Alliance, Shanghai Data Exchange Corp. and National Engineering Laboratory for Big Data Distribution and Exchange Technologies. John Freidenrich, a well-known investor in Silicon Valley and a member of the board of trustees of Stanford University, Ling Xuefeng, Director and Chief Scientist of Stanford Translational Medicine, Ravindra Rao from Brocade and plenty of other experts and scholars were invited to the forum, and they exchanged views on the application and practice of big data in smart healthcare, artificial intelligence and social governance. Meanwhile, Shanghai Data Exchange Corp., Hua Data Technology Co., Ltd., Zamplus Technology, Haier Medical, Gold Palm and other big data application enterprises conducted roadshows.

Chen Mingbo, Director of Shanghai Municipal Commission of Economy and Informatization attended the forum and delivered a speech. He pointed out that the powerful alliance of the two science and technology innovation centers, Shanghai, China and Silicon Valley, the U.S., would exert great and positive impact on the development of the two cities, as well as on technical innovation, results commercialization and upgrading of big data sector. Meantime, he pinned great hopes on the establishment of “Shibei Hi-tech Park American Innovation Center”. Deng Xiaodong, Deputy Director Mayor of Jing'an District People’s Government, said that Shanghai Jing'an District People's Government will spare no efforts in supporting Shibei Hi-Tech Park to build Shanghai Big Data Industry Base, and make unremitting endeavor to develop the base into a domestic advanced, world leading big data industrial development cluster.

“Shanghai Shibei Hi-tech Park American Innovation Center” was grandly unveiled at the forum. Liu Qinyu, Deputy General Manager of Shanghai Shibei Hi-Tech Co., Ltd., and Chen Limin, CEO of mProbe attended the unveiling ceremony of “Shanghai Shibei Hi-tech Park American Innovation Center”, marking the first step of Shibei Hi-Tech Park to carry out overseas cooperation. Chen Mingbo, Director of Shanghai Municipal Commission of Economy and Informatization, Deng Xiaodong, Deputy Director Mayor of Jing'an District People’s Government, John Freidenrich, a member of the board of trustees of Stanford University, Zhang Ying, Director of Department of Informatization Promotion, Shanghai Municipal Commission of Economy and Informatization and Lin Xiaojue, Director of Jing’an District Science and Technology Commission together witnessed this important moment.

It is reported that Shanghai Shibei Hi-tech Park American Innovation Center aims to serve as a bridge for cooperation of China and the U.S. in research, industries, talents and capital, so as to further promote Shanghai big data industrial development and the construction of a global science and technology innovation center. Following the establishment of innovation center, business teams will be dispatched and innovation carriers acquired according to the actual requirement in the future. Silicon Valley, where the innovation center sits, possessing top-level colleges and information enterprises worldwide, is the gathering area for American science and technology innovative resources and one of the highly developed global science and technology innovation centers in the informatization industry. In the future, depending on the innovation center, Shibei Hi-tech Park will tap the top-notch scientific research power of Stanford University to help technical innovation enterprises in the park and even in Shanghai conduct extensive and in-depth cooperation with the U.S. on technical innovation, market expansion and capital operation in the fields of big data, artificial intelligence and precision medicine and further promote the overseas market expansion of those enterprises.
